Performing a Document Review

NOTE: If Document Management is integrated with Change Management and the approval option for a document change specifies that the document review will take place in the Change Management application, then a review record for the change will still be created in Document Management, but the record will be locked while the review is performed in Change Management. If the document is rejected or the change plan is voided in the Change Management application, the record is unlocked in Document Management.

  1. From the Document Reviewer dashboard on the Portal Page, click the Document Needs Approval tab > Document No. link of the Document record for which to perform a review.
    Result: The document is displayed in a pane on the left side of the window and the Sign-off information is displayed on the right.
  2. Review the document.
  3. Click the Status drop down arrow and select the new status of the document.
  4. Enter a note from the approver.
  5. Browse to select and attach an attachment, if necessary.
  6. Enter your user ID and password.
  7. Click the Sign-off button.
    Result: The review for this approver is now complete.
